Biography

Royalty -- Artisan -- Sculptor

Ty is Water Flight royalty, of an incredibly long lineage full of Imperials and Wildclaws, with a few more common dragons thrown in here and there. Tyrius is old blood, moneyed blood, notable blood - shi draws stares wherever shi goes (or at least shi likes to think so), and shi enjoys hir birthright of attention. Whatever role that has been thrust upon Ty as a child of royalty, though the term has little meaning in a society ruled by the very Elemental Gods themselves, has flourished in hir role with all the natural fuss and flair of a born diva.

Of course, this is not always well received by hir peers; shi has been called selfish and bratty more times than shi could count if shi cared to, but even so it doesn’t bother hir. Shi is prone to complaining if things aren’t up to the standard of hir room back in the Sea of Currents’ palaces in the Trench and near the Keep, and the absence of the crushing pressure took weeks to get accustomed to. However, Ty is beginning to settle into the realm of the Shadows, and even though hir new clan is much poorer, shi must act as a proper embassy and deign to stay in their grubby lodgings for as long as shi must.

While shi certainly is a huge brat, shi brushes it off as both hir birthright and simply the way shi is and always will be. Shi honestly doesn’t care about the opinions of others; they either agree with hir, or they’re wrong, and there’s no two ways about it. If shi learns a new fact or is proven wrong, shi acts as though shi had been right all along and that the OTHER one had been arguing for the position shi had been!

On the whole one may think it not even worth one’s while to talk to such a dragon... but shi has something special about hir, not the least of which being the artistic talent shi picked up in hir training in the Sea. Shi is loyal to those who have proven loyal to hir, to the death. If someone wrongs a favorite friend of hirs, they had best prepare for combat. Hir meticulously sharpened, polished and painted claws aren’t just for opening paint cans - shi will split you from stem to stern and wear your guts for garters, and then calmly wipe it off with a linen handkerchief.

Ever a passionate creature, shi pours just as much soul into hir artworks as shi pours into hir drama, and when shi is absorbed with a piece, it can be hard to tear hir away from it. The works shi has produced, ranging from classical sculpture to ball-jointed-figurines to frescoes and murals and all the way down to wire-wrapped jewelry, are unfailingly of the highest quality, and shi has been asked many a time to assist Yndi in production of some garments and baubles, to say the least of hir deft touch when applying make-up and scalepaints. Shi is frequently involved in building sets and stages, and is a master of painting props and backdrops.

The skin shi is wearing right now once belonged to several Jeweled Octoflyers, but shi is modelling it so that hir clan can profit from their good fortune of having discovered an entire flock of the squishy, opaque creatures.

Shi has great aspirations to become a truly glamorous and royal looking dragon; shi considers hir natural coloration to be dull, and longs for the chance to sparkle and shine. That the cost of such a transformation is astronomical matters little to this selfish little dragon - the funds in the treasury are hirs to use and it’s nobody’s business if shi wipes it out completely just to buy snacks, let alone hir precious genetics.

Thankfully, Myrriah is quite wise to hir ways, and has crafty ways of preventing the sly little brat from getting into the cookie jar.
