Biography

Starspell, along with his mate Starfall, plays a vital role in the Windhover clan: keeper of familiars.

While the intelligent Beastclan who frequent the Windhover lair are independent, and outside of his purview, Starspell cares deeply for the less-intelligent creatures that call the Windhover caverns home. He is the one who changes their bedding, gives them food and water, tends to their injuries and illnesses, and breaks up fights between them. He also manages the population, making new familiars comfortable, and keeping track of how many duplicates the clan has. His personal favorite familiar is the steam gyre (whom he has named Misty), but if a creature can be bonded with, Starspell loves it.

Starspell is slightly less sensitive than his mate, and is fully aware of the other dragons' experiments on the familiars. However, he still views all "alterations" with loathing and suspicion--Starspell genuinely loves his charges and can't stand the thought of anyone hurting them. He harbors a deep resentment towards Gwen for ever initiating the uplift project, and is closest with the dragons who have nothing to do with the uplifting--Ohm, Icemelt, Urania, and a few others.
