Ancora was born from a family of crystal dragons, who's ancestors where made from the dead coals of the Flameforgers fire. Over years and years, they slowly took their true form and crystallized. She grew up pampered, having to live to a certain standard. She wished to leave her birth clan and experience the world. Her parents were overprotective. To an outrageous extent. She was the last born in a clutch of five, so she was considered the runt. The smallest, weakest, the one who never got enough food. Her parents treated her as such. She hated it, and so once she was old enough. She left. With no where to go, and no idea about the outside world, she wondered, from flight to flight, with no idea of what she wanted. Since she was only young, either she hunted her own food, or she stole. One night, she had been trying to steal some food from a nearly clan in fire. Ancora was quickly caught. Zanna had been immensely angry, before she caught site of the little coatl, and when Ancora has tried to run, she'd been scooped up by the giant guardian, and taken in. She'd learned from Zanna everything a dragon needed to know, everything of how the world works, and why stealing was wrong. Zanna had quickly taken to the little coatl, and both she and Solace had raised her like their own. When the role of clan leader was passed onto Ancora, she didn't know what to think. She was honored, but she also thought she was wrong for the job, she didn't want anyone to get hurt, but under Zanna's watchful eye, she adapted to the role. Ancora, with help from Wednesday, had learned to use a variety of weapons. To protect both herself, her mate, and her clan. She was quite proficient with small knives, which were easy enough to hide under skirts and in bags. Although she was ready for any battle, she was quite a diplomatic leader, until someone said something to anger her, then all bets were off the table unless someone else stepped in. As a leader, she was just and fair, and would never turn away a dragon in need. Thus, the clan was always growing and accepting new members. Whether they come from a damaged background, guardians simply looking for their charges, escaping from something, or just looking for something new. |
