Mother said she couldn't wait for me to grow up.
Well, we'll just see about that, won't we?

There's a lot to be said about a dragon who is as wise as the ages taking over ships while being the size of a very large badger. Peter has to hand it to himself, he's one tough captain when it comes to raiding the waters, bringing back treasure for his home clan. Most of the ships he targets never see him coming, quite literally. While he is skilled as a captain, he's very egotistical. His ego is the size of the planet if not bigger. He thinks he can take on anything and if he does something wrong then he doesn't deserve to be punished because its him. Murdoc doesn't agree, and while she is much stronger than him, Peter manages to escape her wrath by going back to his ship with his goons and going back out to see, away from the clan grounds. His ego will, one day, be the down fall of him. If it gets much bigger, it might pop. He wasn't always so full of it. He used to be very humble when growing up, err, growing bigger. It was when he was cursed did he change. Perhaps it was the curse itself that altered him so greatly, but all Peter can say is that he's happy he was locked into being forever youthful. It means that the enemies won't know what to do with him. They'll be too shocked to do anything other than just stare and let his goons take over their ship and loot it. Thanks to his master plan of using his new-found looks to conquer other pirates, Peter has made the Reborn very rich in treasure and gems and other various goods. If anything, he believes that he should be worshiped for doing such work. After all, if it wasn't for him, the clan wouldn't be half as good as it was! The dragons think they would be better off without him, but they don't tell him this because seeing a tiny dragon yell at them in a high pitched voice is just too funny. They have to laugh. Still, Peter is a good leader when it comes to his hoard of goons. They aren't clan members, in fact, they aren't from any clan, but they listen to him because if it wasn't for him, they would still be locked up somewhere suffering for their misdeeds. Peter has kept his goons away from his clan, and they don't know where he operates from, but they do know he moves all the treasure he clan gets himself, and he won't let them find out where the Reborn are. He does love his clan, even though he gives them all a hard time and is sometimes way too into himself to notice the others are getting tired of his constant gloating. He wouldn't want anything to happen to any of them. They are his family. He was born on the shore in Wind, his mother and father raising him as carefully as they could. The problem was that their shores were covered in pirates. Peter didn't much like the fact that his parents were subjected to fear and had to give up what they owed to the pirates, so one day he chased after them when he was a young adult. He was a large Ridgeback, with enough force in his tail and spines to crush a small ship to pieces. That didn't make getting back what was stolen from his clan easy. He fought tooth and nail against the pirates to get the treasure back, and he returned it all to his clan, patrolling the shore to prevent more pirates from attacking. He stayed there, rooted on the edge of the shore, glaring out at sea. His parents couldn't wait for him to get older, to be his full size and protect them all, but that never happened. One day, pirates attacked a little old lady. Peter rushed to her assistance and helped her fight off the pirates trying to loot her of what little she had, but there was one deadly thing about the woman. She had cursed her pendant. One of the pirates snatched it from her and Peter ripped it back, the curse attacking him instead of the one that stole it. The old woman, a powerful mage, chased off the pirates and carried Peter back home to his clan. There, she explained what had happened. He had been transformed by the curse into a hatchling again, a small, defenseless hatchling. Ashamed that he had let this happen, Peter fled his clan in favor of a new one, in the land of Fire. He found the Reborn easily, but it was around this time his personality began to shift as well. In rage and bitterness, he got together a group of pirates and began terrorizing the Water land pirates, sinking their ships and freeing any trapped dragons and familiars they had aboard. Peter refused to let any pirates operate anywhere near his home, even though the clan of the Reborn were no where near the waters. To this day, Peter remains at large on the sea as a pirate hunter. He goes after any pirates he finds and quickly takes them out, in order to teach them a lesson and make the waters a little safer. He still regrets leaving his former clan behind, but he had failed them. The Reborn needed him now, so here he will stay until he somehow fails them. At least he knows his former clan is safe. The word on the sea is that his clan was able to get a good battle force together to protect themselves, and now pirates have to pay them to use their harbor. Things couldn't have ended better, right? bio by dew |
