Zaephess

Zaephess is a ray'lumian name which does not have a direct translation; but rather it is a female play on the word zaphear which closely translates to "the bravery one has when facing a stronger enemy." Zaephess is named for the first female council member of the magistrate who is known for her icy attitude and ability to break even the most dangerous criminal.

Zae is one of the fist of Barghast's children, and definitely inherited her mother's mouth to go along with her father's tenacity for battle. She is brave and near fearless, often taking on enemies three times her size. Along with her mate, Raydel and Clynestra, the clan mystic, she forms the magical element of the clan's main battle team. They forge new territory when the clan needs to expand, and have often been accused of being unnecessarily nippy. Her familiar, Sting, a shadow serpent is often seen coiled around her neck, ready to snap anyone trying to one up her in a battle, or play a harm(less)ful prank.

Her mouth gets her in trouble a lot, and if her father weren't so powerful or her claws and skills as sharp she may have been kicked to the back to the cave a long time ago. It's a good thing her mate Raydel is extremely skilled in healing, otherwise a couple skirmishes might have scared.

She is the second lady to bashvyl, third reigning under Anyai, leader of the battle groups.
