TyphoonTalon
Hunter of Lionfish Isles
Hound of Tidelord

TyphoonTalon is a hunter of the Fishspine Reef, and part of the Hounds of Tidelord pack. He has always been with the pack, raised as a hatchie by the pack’s leader, TideCourage. He is a loyal member of the Hounds, going along with flow with a diligent and loyal nature. Therefore, it was a surprise to TideCourage when Typhoon chose the blessing of Wisdom rather than Courage, taking tutelage under TideLagoon. It was not that Typhoon lacked courage, rather that he desired the ability that came along with the blessing of the high priest.

That unique ability is one to change the superficial layer of scales containing the pigment to any color. He can become almost transparent as water to pitch black as the abyss. He uses this ability to stalk corals of the Fishspine Reef, waiting amongst the rainbow of colors and letting prey come to him. This rare ability and his quiet personality have earned him the nickname of “The Haunt”, and he has more than once scarred his own pack mates with his sudden appearance in their midst.

The blessing itself has him often at odds with his mate, BlightBite, in terms of his hunting style and his predilection to “wait and see”. Still he loves and envies her ability to jump into everything life offers and finds it hard to snarl at her even when she ruins a hunting session. In his time alone out in the sea he has come across and made friends with the dragoness SweetWater. She shares his blessing and preference for solitude in the sea, and most of the time they just simply float letting the currents take them.

TyphoonTalon has also become friends with NautilusKnight, even though his mate enjoys bothering the Guardian to no end. The two love to speak about raising and care of the fish and wildlife of the reefs, both taking pride in seeing the life of the area prosper. TyphoonTalon specializes in rearing insects, the Longwing Epiptite being his favorite. He learned how to properly raise them from SurfSprite, who he calls the “Bug Talker” for the Fae’s ability to seemingly speak insect. He never eats his charges, mostly finding their taste rather disgusting, but he doesn’t mind sharing insects with those who hunger. It is the duty of the pack to feed and protect the clan after all.
