Ketu has realized, finally, after many years, that he is no longer young. He had clung to his childish nature, but he's finally given it up. He's officially old. There's an entire generation of young dragons in the lair, and despite his best efforts, he could never really fit in with them.

So he's given it up and accepted that he must mature and actually help out the clan, rather than pursuing his childhood dream of becoming a necromancer. Since Mikhail's departure, he's taken up the role of ambassador, putting his cool demeanor and tricky speech to use. He's begun travelling the world to meet all the clans Mikhail had formerly had connections with to make new bonds. The travelling has really helped him through this great personal change, and he's learning more than he ever knew there was to learn.

When he isn't travelling, he helps his sister tend her garden, and aids Ruby in her quest to master necromancy. Because if he can't do it himself, he can help someone else achieve it. Someone who actually has a chance in the first place.
