ABOUT
Marjakimara weaves the finest fabrics and threads for the clan. She is also a popular and talented hairdresser and fur trimmer, all the clans tundras go to her to get their fur trimmed. Her best silks are made of tundras fur that she gathers. Seems like Marjakimara has unusually short memory, even for a tundra. Her solution to that is to treat everyone like her new best friend, if she smells even a hint of friendship in them. This tactic works better than you would think, everybody likes her. Maybe it is her friendly smile, or the warm hugs, or how the scent and sometimes even petals of roses that seem to float around her. Marjakimara listens to your worries, big or small. Even dragons that don't have mane or fur visit her salon frequently. Her salon is on the artisan alley, and on the back room she weaves her fabrics. While her salon is a place where she welcomes all, no one is allowed in the back room, especially not when she is weaving. She never charges currency or riches from her silk, the clan members get them as gifts. |

HISTORY
|
Deep on the rocky lands of Dragonhome stands a lonely fortress, the Sanctuary. Sanctuary is one of the biggest silk producers in all Sornieth, and their fabrics are famed for their unique softness. Its not a secret that the silk is made of Tundra wool, the secret is the method of making it. The tundras who make the silk live in abundance inside the fortress walls, its like a small paradise. Clans aroud the Earth nation know that the Sanctuary will take any unwanted or parentless hatchlings under their wing, tundra or not, and many poor clans or families drop their hatchlings there for a hope of a better life. Marjakimara was one of outcasts like this, left on the doorstep of the Sanctuary as a small hatchling. She was quickly breedchanged to tundra and her already vague memories of her original family were washed away. The Sanctuary was a beautiful, magical place with plenty of other hatchlings to play with, vast garden full of delicious plants and fruits. The elder dragons took care of the hatchlings with parently love, it was truly a paradise. Marjakimara were noted to have steady, dexterous paws and the elders started to train her the art of weaving. The hatchlings who didn't show talent for it could just continue the life as it were in their paradise, as long as they took good care of each others fur, since it was the main ingredient of the Sanctuarys famous silk. After many decades Marjakimara was fully trained as one of the Sactuarys weavers, she was entrusted with the sacred, ancient ways of making the thinnest, softest silk thread there was. She was surrounded with friends and overflowing abundance. But she wasn't happy. The little glimpses of memories the time and the breed change hadn't destroyed keeped her up in the night, shattered remains of memories of the world outside. It was like trying to figure out the image of a thousand piece puzzle from just a handful of pieces, Marjakimara needed to see the word to put the pieces in place. The problem was that once a hatchling had entered the Sacturary and was a part the community inside, they could never leave. It was especially forbidden if you happened to be one of the weavers. The Sanctuary elders were really protective of their secrets and ancient ways and Marjakimaras talents were worth of fortunes. The elders would never let her leave. But she couldn't live like this, she wanted to see the world. After years of planning she managed to make a succesful escape. Marjakimara was finally wild and free. There was just one problem, after spending her whole life in one place surrounded with same faces her memory had had no training for what was coming. The breed change had apparently damaged her somehow and living inside with the same dragons all her life had kept her memory intact inside the Sanctuary, but didn't do her any favors when the world and faces around her changed. She wandered around the Dragonhome, forgetting things and dragons she had just seen, losing her past piece by piece. Marjakimara realized that only way for her to keep her sanity is to let go of the memories she was clutching in, take a leap of faith and trust the world and dragons around her. After a long journey she finally found herself in the doorstep of the Pyramid. Marjakimara quickly made her home there and it looks like it is for the rest of her life. She doesn't mind it, because this time it was her own choice. |
