In short, Larimar is the REAL reason Clan Tempest was able to pick itself up after the initial clan's collapse. Although she generally is somewhat suspicious and sketchy (she spent like a solid first few months in the Wisteria Whirls pretending to be a marine biologist while having minimal experience in the field), she's also quick thinking and quite good at mediating conflict. Weirdly enough, her background as a Straight-Up Pirate came in handy for the future of Clan Tempest. Not enough work done? Delegate. Worried about mutinies? Just check in with everyone to make sure they all agree on how the clan should be run. Also, just make sure everyone's full and/or drunk, and you should be fine. Larimar both seeks stability and is extremely unnerved by the idea of it, and prefers to hold others at arm's length. It's like, when your entire life has been built around the idea that someone has to leave first - that someone always leaves first - how are you supposed to accept that maybe they won't? Yet she still cares very deeply for the people around her, and although she previously held a reputation of running as soon as things got difficult, she's resolved to do better. She really does care for the other dragons of this clan, even if she has no idea what the future holds, and she's trying to justify to herself that it'll all be worth it. However, she also has a bleeding heart and is inclined towards giving people way too many chances. She's very quick to see herself in those around her and feel pity. This hasn't gotten the clan in trouble yet, but knowing the way we operate here? It's only a matter of time. |
