The Good Doctor
Cheerful, Mild, Serene
There's not much that bothers me
Cheerful, Mild, Serene
There's not much that bothers me
The wheezing noises that the Coatl is making worries you, and you're out of the room to "get doctor". Except there's just one problem... you have no idea where they are!
A cheerful voice from inside the lair greets you, "Why hello there. I don't think I've seen you around...?"
Figuring that this Imperial must be an inhabitant of this lair, you figure that you should ask her about where the lair's physician... or at least witch doctor... is. But already, she's perking up at the sound behind you-- the wheezing of the Coatl you had just left.
"Oh no, Swiftrunner has done it again," she bows to you politely as she passes. "I'll be right back, so don't you go running off!"
You stand awkwardly in the hall, trying not to pay attention to the conversation in the room behind you. The Imperial is murmuring in soothing tones, and you can hear the quiet, raspy hiss of the native Coatl tongue. You decide to focus on the craftmanship of the lair... yes... that's a good idea. It's a common type of living space familiar to most Wind clans-- some version of a living structure attached to flight balloons. It's not that big, yet, but eventually this lair will take its place in the Cloudsong like most other clans.
"I hope you'll excuse me for running off like that," the Imperial from earlier says politely as she interrupts your scrutiny of the wood grains in the floor. "Swiftrunner, despite his name, is unlikely to ever be swift. Or a runner.
"I don't think we've been formally introduced," she holds her tail out in a polite gesture. "You can call me Mint. I'd like to formally welcome you to the Goodwill clan's Flying Home for Dragons."
You make your introduction and Mint nods her head in satisfaction. "I saw you looking at our lair's construction, earlier. So, what do you think?" Mint gestures around the two of you, "The design is actually the work of one of our own clan members. It's real sturdy, but also lightweight. Which is a great boon when this lair is filled with exuberant hatchlings, as you might imagine. It can take any number of stomping-- though I wouldn't advise you to try it! Especially while we're in flight."
"So," Mint continues when she finishes her little explanation, "Is there anything you needed my assistance with? You looked rather lost when I saw you.
"If you're looking for directions, or for someone to help you get back to your lair, you can look for Synth. He's often out in this area, so he knows it like the back of his claw! And you don't need to worry about those Harpies you've been hearing about: Synth is more than capable of holding his own in a fight with those. Plus, in my biased opinion, he's much better company than our dear Deoxy.
"But, oh, you might be here for business! I'm afraid I'm not too sure what goes on between my clan and others, but Xylose is likely to know where to direct you."
