Biography
Mirrorglow The Mage intelligent | imaginative | irrational The tiny Fae poked here head out of the hole in her egg. She peered around cautiously before breaking the opening wide enough for her body to fit through. She saw no one else around and was unsure of what to do. There were two other empty eggs, one the size of hers and another a bit larger. Both were empty but there was evidence that whoever had been there wasn't far away. She decided to wait until they returned before venturing anywhere. While she waited, she noticed a small glint of light peeking through the trees. She approached this spot, placing her paw curiously in the ray. Suddenly the grove was filled with similar glints shimmering all around and on every surface. She realized that her hide had a crystalline texture to it that reflected the light that shone down through the darkness above. This intrigued and excited her and she wanted to share it immediately with whomever came through the grove. Her mother and siblings were returning to the best when they were suddenly bombarded by hundreds of rogue light rays. Being the Tangled Wood, where darkness and shadow reigned, this startled their mother and she hurriedly hid the other hatchlings away and ran. The little Fae was confused and upset. This wasn't the reaction she expected. She waited for them to return again, but they never came; instead, several hours later, she heard the roar of fierce warriors approaching the grove. She was scared and wanted her mother, but decided it was best to flee. As time went on, she became fascinated with other ways to created these dancing lights, along with various other spells, incantations, and alchemical creations that could be used to create a wide variety of different lighting effects. She began to work them into a little routine, amusing hatchlings and dragons alike with her magical prowess. She earned a good living this way, but always yearned for something more. She decided that she would set out to find a clan to call home. One day, while back in the Tangled Wood, she wandered into Wispwillow Grove and happened upon a very intriguing Pearlcatcher. His eyes rinsed her of that first glint of light that she saw in the grove so many years ago. His hide also reminded her of something, but this was a more recent memory. She had cast a spell that seemed to create a crackle of darkness through blinding light, which his hide seemed to resemble. When she had cast this spell, her tail had burst into a bright white, as well, and seemed to never return to the dark hue that the rest of her hide always was. She came to cherish this fluffy tail as it reminded her of the lights she always admired. He introduced himself as Shade, a member of The Misfits Keep. A dark shape appeared from behind Shade, a small, pure black fox. The two of them led her to the Keep where she found the other clan Mages like Shade, along with many other dragons. They were all so welcoming that she knew this was it. This was where she would make her home. |
