The Harbinger
foreboding | intelligent | calm

The Harbingers, of the Harvest Moons sub-species, herald the coming of their Reaper siblings, as well as the turn of the seasons. They are always the first to hatch within their clutch and always appear in multi-egg nests. Never has a single-egg nest bore a Harbinger. Lore tells that a Harbinger that hatches from a single-egg nest will be the first sign of the End.

Knowing her purpose as she entered the world, she immediately went over to the other egg in the nest, preparing to welcome her Reaper sibling. She waited next to it for some time until she heard the cracking of an egg. The only concern was that it wasn't the egg she sat next to, it was another egg that was behind it. Confused, she peered around it to see Her beautiful Skydancer brother emerging from the shell. She welcomed him and immediately forgot about the other egg she had sat next to, until she heard the cracking again. They both watched as the shell cracked in several places when suddenly it burst open to reveal a larger, blood-red Pearlcatcher. She didn't fully understand, but knew that a Blood Reaper had just been hatched. She was the herald of two opposites in this world and she had a strange feeling about her youngest brother.
