No one quite knows why this seasoned aerial fighter would settle down in a small agriculture clan. Maybe she wanted a rest from all the fighting she had done. Perhaps she was looking for a smaller, more close-knit clan. Or maybe, she just needed a safe place to raise her daughter, along with her mate, Varuna. Her role in the clan is to care for the hatchlings, but she is a part time guard with Bellus and her mate Varuna. She defends the young with the fierceness of a hurricane. Amphitrite doesn't know how long she will stay here. The days blur into each other in a way that she has never experienced before. The plants grow, the harvest begins, the soil rests and then is replanted. The cycle continues year after year. There is a peace in this routine, a peace she wants her children to know.

She tends to all the hatchlings, caring for them while their parents are working, and when they are all grown and gone, she joins Sanibel in harvesting the bounty of the sea. Her precious daughter, Aomikan, travels around the world to find trinkets and treasures, and while Amphitrite is so proud of her, she worries about her beloved child. In addition to worrying about her child and all of the other children of the clan, Amphitrite fears for the continued safety of her new family. Their success has attracted enemies as well as allies, and though she and Varuna are a fierce team, they cannot protect the clan from all their enemies.
