Aurae is a bossy dragon who will fight anyone who so much as looks at her the wrong way. She holds a strong belief that wildclaws are the superior race of dragons. She also keeps herself well-groomed and sparkling, claiming that wildclaws must show off their beauty. Aurae doesn't get along well with other dragons, but she's gotten to the point where she can hold a conversation with her clanmates without going on a killing spree. She has taken a shine to Hes, though. He appreciates her gorgeous shiny scales and the superiority of wildclaws. Of course, he's never actually said anything about the latter, but he's a wildclaw. Obviously he would understand wildclaw superiority. Aurae is an efficient guard, mostly because of her excellent eyesight.

Aurae was one of the first Flora approached about her plan. She agreed immediately. Those guardians were much too soft on the clan. What the Myrne clan needed was a real leader, like Flora. Someone who could lead them into battle, and make sure the only dragons in the clans were the useful ones. Flora gave Aurae a chance to prove herself by setting her as guard for the former leaders.

In an effort to forget Hes, who is disloyal to Flora, Aurae chose Fitz to father her first three hatchlings. It's sad, really. The two turned to each other because they had been cast aside by those they loved most. Flora had taken Scatter as her mate, and Hes refused to accept Flora.

A fearsome Hippogriff named Ty chose Aurae as his companion. He tolerates her, but isn't quite loyal to Aurae yet. She's fairly certain that if she was attacked, Ty would sit in a nearby tree half-heartedly chucking berries at her and her attacker while chuckling. Still, she's making slow progress with her familiar.
