Noble and aloof, Tridacna knew he was (probably) bound for greatness. Maybe. At least that's what all the motivational posters on the bulletin boards asking for a "new face to save the day" say, never mind that it's for something called the Beastclan Dignitaries. What the heck was that doing up on a bulletin board in the Crystalspine Reaches anyway? Whatever. The point is that Tridacna is one of those dragons that will never have self-esteem issues. He volunteered to take occasional trips with the elite team of fighters to learn how to be strong in the REAL way!... And stuff. He hopes that one day, even in a clan of a different Flight, he will be able to aid others in need. Be it being a level 25 with full stats and stones to defend his new clanmates from the Shade or just walking around all day on patrol, he'll do it.

This selfless behavior is rather odd for a Pearlcatcher, a breed known for its "I before e" when "e" means "everyone" attitude. In fact, the defensive behavior seems more suited to a Guardian! ...Like Pendergast. Who is a self-centered whiny Guardian with little to no fighting skills. Well. This isn't weird. Anyway, Tridacna values most his pearl - if you were to take it from him, like any curious dragon, he would attack you, like any provoked dragon. While all Pearlcatchers are bothered by unauthorized touching of pearls, Tridacna is especially ticked due to his pearl's ridiculous luster and sheen. No one is sure why it is this shiny, but it's certainly pretty...

Tridacna cycled through a number of familiars before deciding on a Dreameater. The reasoning for this is unknown. Perhaps he's plagued by chronic nightmares? Maybe he has a dark past? Nobody knows! Well, nobody except himself and his Dreameater. Just add it to the list of Mysteries Yet To Be Solved: Wisteria Whirls Edition. It belongs under "why Opalus doesn't talk" and "what Ruby and Leviathan have planned for all of us". Whee.
