A child of fire, prophecized to have been created from ashes of fallen warriors, Marcasite has difficulty coming to terms with her fate. She is meant to serve Flamecaller, and yet lacks every bit of valance and persistence to take on this role. She becomes furious at insignificant inconveniences, impatient and bossy towards all who won't answer to her every waking cry or complaint, and is terribly unskilled with fire magic as opposed to her ancestors and relatives from her native clan.

Few dragons in the clan are sure how to deal with this phenomenon, as they merely wish to reside peacefully in the tundra. It was obvious that such a dragon with unmanageable magic lived among them, their trees scorched and snow melted away to patches of dead grass. Those born of fire continue to attempt training her, though one can only manage a bratty child for so long...but then, they can't help but wonder; is this child merely struggling due to the need to find her charge? The answer, is no.

Marcasite found her charge, and it had been discovered to be a frozen rock. She carries it around with her, generally leaving it with her ever loyal familiar to ensure is safety. The rock remains frozen through what small amounts of ice magic she was able to even remotely grasp, and can be seen occasionally rolling it in the snow, as if somehow bathing it.
