______Dulce, from the day of her hatching, has been a hopeless romantic; she believes in love at first sight, romantic dates, and shared dens. Dulce is, however, very timid, preferring to wait for someone else to make a move, instead of trying to initiate interactions herself - this does, of course, put a roadblock in the way of her romantic interests, as many dragons she's had a crush on never even knew, since she never said or did anything about it. These instances do make Dulce upset with herself - after all, who knows, perhaps one of those dragons she never talked to was meant to be her mate? In addition to her non-confrontational nature, Dulce is rather reserved - rather quiet, and thus, many dragons assume she just wants to be left alone (and, as she won't start conversations, she's never corrected them).

______"Many dragons" does not, however, include the clan's serial flirt, Teague. As he's known to flirt with anyone and everyone, no matter how shut-off, Teague has, unsurprisingly, interacted with Dulce, who (equally unsurprisingly) developed a massive crush on him. Though he's usually fairly casual with his flirtations (not really meaning anything by them), Teague noticed her flustered reaction to his first attempt at flirting with her - he was flattered by her apparent genuine interest, but didn't know how to handle said genuine interest, having never actually been in a relationship before (despite his constant flirting).

______Dulce, not realizing Teague had noticed her reaction, assumes that he'd meant nothing by the flirtatious remark, as he usually doesn't, and resigned herself to another fruitless crush. She was, thus, unaware of his thinly veiled panic, as he sort of scrambled to get up and away, desperate to come up with a plan to "properly" romance Dulce. Teague worked out his plan over the course of a few months, continuing to flirt with Dulce, and cutting down (if only a little) the flirting with other clanmates, all while Dulce remained unaware of his efforts. She was, however, very pleased to be receiving attention at all, even if it was (by her perception) platonic; their continued contact kept her crush strong, though she'd decided she was more than content with just this friendly contact.

______Eventually, Teague sets his plan in motion: taking advantage of his job at the trading post, he'd do a little extra, personal trading for flowers the Flickering Shadows clan doesn't naturally have, then he'd leave them by the entrance to Dulce's den! The flowers delighted Dulce, though she hadn't a clue who they were from - as such, she spent a long time each day speculating who it could be (having already assumed Teague wasn't interested in her) - Pantheon, maybe? It seemed like something he might do - or perhaps Dusk - no, she thinks, probably not him... it might be Lagoon? Then again, Dulce can't really "talk" to her very well, since Lagoon was mute and a fae... Dulce was baffled.

______Teague realized after a few weeks of this that he had not thought this through well enough - he'd forgotten she wouldn't know who the flowers were from. He hadn't considered leaving a note, as well, but that's what he resorted to with that realization. That day, Dulce, finding the note, flew as fast as she could to Teague's den, asking him if he'd really meant it - the note having proclaimed his interest in a relationship with Dulce, assuming that he was correct in assuming she was interested; Dulce said, yes, she was definitely interested, and launched forward to hug him (or whatever the spirals' equivalence of a hug is). They both emerged from the den tunnels with dopey grins, enjoying each other's company; Dulce was happy to have found "the one" for her, and Teague was ecstatic to find a dragon he could flirt with and actually mean it, which did cut down on his need to flirt with all of his other clanmates (which isn't to say he doesn't at all, only less - something which Dulce doesn't mind, knowing her clanmates are aware he doesn't mean his comments).
