Fondant always held a spot of confusion amongst the other coatls in the clan. His dull white body would always cause looks of distaste but his brilliant plumage was another thing all together. Flaring his wings, hissing and ruffling a few feathers, he somehow managed to grab a place high in the clan's order, and hasn't let it go since. Despite this, when his show of flamboyance doesn't work, he has never resorted to violence - instead he just hides behind one of the larger dragons in the lair until the threat has died down.


Despite his nervous disposition, Fondant tries to see past it as best as he can, puffing up his chest and greeting guests into the lair with a smile. Because of his higher place in the clan, Fondant had managed to convince the other coatls in the lair to teach the basics of their mother tongue to the rest - his closest friend Bubblegum becoming the most fluent. Together they teach the newcomers and hatchlings, and hope that most dragons who leave are at least bilingual.

After a year or so in the lair, Fondant and Bubblegum grew even closer, and it didn't take too long until the two became more than just friends. Now the Coatl proudly sits atop his boyfriend's shoulders, seeing the world from a Ridgeback's point of view, and sharing their time in heartwarming ways. Fondant was firm to push his beliefs that Bubblegum should no longer consider fighting, and the Ridgeback was happy to oblige - of course it'd be safer, and the two could raise the clan's hatchlings without worry.
