Xielus is a cunning, keen dragoness with a broad mind. Hailing from Arcane, from birth she was enraptured by the magical qualities of Sornieth. A lover of books, Xielus spent, and still spends, hours of time in libraries, reading and memorizing all knowledge written down. Xielus's eidetic memory has aided greatly in her constant research on the Elements, and The Shade. While Xielus possesses several good qualities, such as her determination, intelligence, and resourcefulness, this is greatly overshadowed by the darkness growing in her heart. Xielus is a master of theatre, being able to play any role she wishes to, bend her face in any way. This gives addition to her masterful manipulation techniques, her way of making anyone she wishes play "follow the leader". Yet her temper is that of Fire, and one thing can send her flying into a fit of rage. The strain of her different stories, research, and anxiety has grown her one short fuse. But almost always, her face is a welcoming, smiling one.

Her hunger for knowledge and magical prowess fuels her very being. She will do anything for the sake of research, as knowledge is power.




Xielus was born to unknown parents, in a clutch of four eggs. Her only family were her siblings, Obsidian, Ouroboros, and Azazel. The nest being scattered on the cross-points of regions, all the siblings were of different elements. Xielus was the first to hatch, and thus the appointed parent, but her anxiety was too great to make her a good example. She retreated into books found and stolen, letting Azazel adopt the parental role, despite being the youngest. Xielus didn't care much for her siblings, only the fantastic knowledge scribed in ink, but her attention was always caught on one thing her family did. Magic. She was enraptured by how they could all do different kinds of magic, magic in general being a fascination. Xielus wanted to know how magic worked in exact, wanted to know what made it tick. She was determined to find out.

And when research failed her, Xielus decided to do experiments of her own. But it was never enough, she could never get the answers she wanted from corpses of dragons she'd find, or of living beastclan members the young mirror managed to kidnap. All this time, her siblings grew increasingly worried by their ever-vanishing sister. Her siblings continued to grow ever so annoying, all they were was useless. But one day, a spark struck in her mind. Could a living dragon reveal what she wanted to know? Maybe, hopefully.

Azazel was physically the frailest, a runt of a mirror. But her magic was awe-inspiring, even at so young. She was so kind, so trusting too. Xielus didn't even need to make an elaborate scheme to lure her sister into the woods. And then, Xielus spent a whole night with fabulous new data, she could finally transcribe her own book.

Xielus didn't even say goodbye to her siblings when she left, leaving to find more, know more. She would discover the secret of magic, and the secret of the cold shadow eating away at her heart.
