Marukanitel gave her life, Enraptured gave her a name, Clan Reocailura gave her a home. As the daughter of a Pirate and a Courtesan, Lily has natural talent in many of the skills required of an assassin, though she goes about it with perhaps a little too much pizazz. Lily scoffs at such accusations, claiming that her flamboyant nature is an excellent smokescreen for less savory activities. She is absolutely correct. Her specialties are a wide variety of venoms she produces herself, making her perhaps a more vicious - though no less deadly - assassin than her partner, Altair. Bouncing around between two Nature clans from early childhood, under constant threat of exaltion, left their mark on the little Nocturne. A constant need to seek approval and a sense of belonging has lead to her adopting several dragons in the as her own family members. Lily has a tough time accepting her Nocturne ancestry: While there is nothing she loves more than mimicking, tricking, and entrapping her prey, she also wants desperately to be her own person - and never, ever have to change for someone else. She teases Alistair constantly for imitating Amon so closely, saying that if he had the chance, he'd become a Skydancer himself. Eventually, Icona bullied her old mentor, Amon, into revealing what he was up to with the two Nocturnes. While a little bemused that the other Skydancer was taking up assassin apprentices after so long, Icona was honored to take on the responsibility of aiding in their training. For her part, Lily was thrilled to add an aunt to her growing adoptive family. She affectionately refers to the much older dragon as Aunt'ona. While her partner learned woodcarving from her Aunt's mate, Lapis, Lily became interested in dance. She couldn't stay parted from the other Nocturne for long, and adapted her steady hands and skills with potions to painting the wooden marionettes Alistair creates. While on missions, the two often blend in with traveling caravans. Icona plays the part of the skilled dancer married to the quiet woodcarver, bringing in a steady legitimate profit while caging out their targets. Her flashy style and moves draw they eye while Alistair watches and listens, gathering information for the eventual kill. |
