While he knew exactly where he was, he didn't know the position of anywhere else.

Role

The Sunbeam Ruin's coastal rain showers and unfailing radiant sunlight means that wildflowers flourish all year round, and with flowers come endless swarms of delicious insects. Darcy is responsible for taking care of the Manor's beehives and supplying the clan with sun-drenched, high-quality honey. Honey is used by everyone from Oleander for poultices to Sinclair for mead wine, and commands a high price from traders. Darcy also uses his faultless olfactory memory to track various dragons and items for anyone who asks, and he is known in the clan to be able to find anything and anyone.

Personality

Darcy has a very black-and-white view of the world. If he decides you're good, then you can literally do nothing wrong. If he decides you're bad, then nothing you do will make him think otherwise, and his opinion of you will be very plainly spoken for the entire clan to hear. Darcy's straightforward way with words combined with his unerring intuition makes him appear scarily omniscient about the clan's comings and goings, though it does come in handy for finding lost things and predicting where the next flowers will bloom.

Background

Object permanence is not a strong suit of Tundras, especially those native to the Tangled Wood where the landscape is as obscure as it is nebulous. That might account for why Darcy's sense of direction is abysmal at best, and yet he never seems to get lost. He's also the worst possible dragon to ask for directions despite him being the clan's tracker - Turn down at the first sign of rain, and Wait until the birds leave the tallest tree, then keep them in front of you till it smells like daffodils are Darcy's idea of clear and concise instructions.

Relationships

Darcy and Quinn have a baffling relationship - he tends to walk and think in circles while she is inclined to drift off both pathways and conversations. They always manage to find their way back to each other, however, which makes for some frankly adorable stories. Darcy and his bees are a frequent sight on the Manor's rooftop, where his greetings to every passing dragon flying by is accompanied by a perpetual buzzing. The clan may have Darcy to blame for the complete lack of any map to go anywhere, but the honey and the company more than make up for it.
