The Great Draconicus Emperor Ricarious

Ricarious came as a gift from the Lightians to the dragons of the frozen northern lands. The Coatl was strong from the first day he hatched and showed great potential. The clan of dragons raised him and encouraged the little dragon to explore his own potential. So he did. As he grew larger he began to fly through the various clans outside of his own. His wings grew stronger and in battle he soon grew to be the most powerful of his clan. It was decided that he would take on the role of leader of the clan, at the start he was unhappy with remaining in his home for long periods to tend to problems within the clan.

As time passed he began to learn that he enjoyed the politics between his clan and others, and he found himself enjoying interacting with the other dragons and working with them to make their home stronger and more comfortable for them all. Food gathering and hording was on the rise now that he began to understand his place in the world. It would be during the festival of fire when he would prove his true heart's intentions for the world of Dragons.

A tundra and coatl where in an argument near the edge of a deep pit leading into a pool of lava. The coatl became violent and attacked the other and forced the dragon down the hole in a fit of rage. Ricarious saw this and took action taking to the air quickly and dove down. The Tundra tried to get flying but a tear formed in its wing making it impossible. Ricarious's eyes narrowed as they neared the lava and the heat grew as did the burring light. He felt a weight on his shoulders and his wings felt like fire as he neared the tundra and grabbed them and opened his wings. The hot wind blows him up and he beats his wings hard and shoots up through the top carrying the other dragon.

He glides carefully to the ground and landed. All around stared at him then one of Ricarious's own clan-mates approached and pointed out his wings and the flames floating around him. He looked himself over and saw his shoulders and back end where covered in rock and a pool of lava remained and his wings where glowing with a firy pattern and flames floated around him. However he felt no pain and held his head up and approached the coatl who had shoved the Tundra. He stared hard down at them and watched the other dragon slink over to the Tundra apologizing and helping them away for the other dragon to be treated.

As the celebration returned to normal Ricarious left to visit a dragon whom worked with metal. He spoke with the other and requested a black chain to be made to decorate himself. After some talking the chain changed into including a leather belt studded with steel to carry a hammer fire proof long gloves with his clawed exposed, a pair of shaded glasses, and a crown. He would bring the materials needed to the dragon and provide food to them as well in return for the services. When it all had been completed the dragon also joined his clan as a personal blacksmith.

Ricarious's rule was spreading and other clans where beginning to follow his example and began to ajoint their own clans with his. He thought he would be happy for the rest of his life, but as the winter came and the Riot of Rot drew closer he found himself watching the mating pairs of his clan forlornly. While he would not be able to sire any draglets due to his position he did find himself feeling lonely and a bit depressed.
