Leikan

Leikan grew up in an upstanding, noble family, made up of well-known and respected dragons; namely his father, Krounakam. The Guardian's relationship with his family is not clear, because all of his family literally had two lives: a private life, and a public one. While on the outside it appeared they were well organized and possessed synergy, those closer to its members knew they were quite dysfunctional, especially where Leikan was concerned. It was rumored he rarely got along with his siblings, he was constantly being judged by his mother, and his father was abusive. Needless to say, Leikan was eager to partake in the Search, more to get away from his family than to honor an age long tradition/hormonal urge. He Searched for at least twelve years, running into dragons that became members of his future clan: Blair, Rauth, Shinari, and Nakeia. Twelve years he traveled until the Search led him to a vast tunnel system near a field of coral and rare vegetation. The coral was full of wildlife and literally bubbling with magic, but nobody knew where the magic's source came from; the Guardian didn't care, however, for he felt it click, he felt that his Search was done. He and the beginnings of his new clan made their home in the caves, and over the next several days they began to get comfortable; until they discovered that a small but lively population of Maren lived nearby. Not being terribly biased against the Maren, nor wishing war with them for the sake of protecting the landscape that was now his to protect, Leikan has tried his best keeping the Maren from outright attacking them. However, it has rarely been easy trying to keep the situation under control, and to this day the clan has always needed lookouts to watch over those who sleep every night.

Leikan is quiet, laconic, and adamant about the decisions he makes. He is very intelligent, and while he would prefer to enter combat with tooth and claw, he is not against nor unfamiliar with using magic. He will go to great lengths to keep his clan and family safe, though in some cases he isn't the best at making difficult decisions on the fly, which leads him to rely on Nakeia or Blair for consultation. Regardless, he is confident and fair to his clan-mates, making sure that all are treated properly and given the best he can give them. He is usually the one to lead a few individuals on hunting parties or battles, and he has taken it upon himself to teach all the youth in clan how to fight and survive. He believes it is important for every member of his clan to be well educated in physical combat, for he knows that magic can be unreliable depending on the circumstances. While not one that ever thought of himself as ever having personal family, he recently became smitten with Havokelle, and the two recently announced themselves as mates.

So far the Maren have remained where they are, but the tension is evident among them. Leikan does not want a terf war with the Beastclan, for he sees that there could be advantages for both sides if they ever became anything remotely friendly. However, he has made it clear to both the members of the Clan of the Deep Echoes and the Maren population that if the beastmen ever cross the line, he will not hesitate for a second to inflict upon them his wrath.
