Cassandra Lore-Keeper & Teacher  Cassandra was named after the oracle. She just hopes her story turns out better than her namesake. Upon coming to the Clan, Cassandra found that the archives were messy and almost useless in their care -- it just hadn't been a priority, according to Lilith, and according to Ardent he hadn't even known there was an archive. Needless to say, Cassandra has her work cut out for her documenting her new Clan, but then, it's her passion, so she can't say she's honestly angry. Appalled, maybe, but not... angry. When she's not sorting, reorganizing, and rewriting the Clan archive, Cassandra's duties mostly focus around teaching lore, history, and philosophy to hatchlings, as well as some older dragons that received no such education in their own youths. She takes a special interest in learning and teaching about the Star Wood, perhaps what influences her to stay with the Keepers.

Chrys: Cass is Chrys's best friend and closest confidant. They spend long nights together reading, debating, and having long talks about life. (And, if some friendly cuddling happens, too, nobody has to know about it.) They're have occasionally been known to wake up the other Keepers in the ungodly hours in the night as well, their voices becoming too loud in passionate debates. Eileen: Though the nomadic dragon doesn't stay put often, she's developed something of an odd friendship with Cassandra, offering up strange knowledge that she comes across in her journeys for Cassandra to interpret and record. Xenith: Xenith clung to Cassandra as a mentor immediately after Cass's first lesson given to Xenith and the other hatchlings at the time. Cass was reluctant at first, as she'd never had an apprentice in her charge before, but after a long period of Xenith trying and trying to prove her worth and interest, Cassandra caved and has since been teaching Xenith all about the different histories and stories she's memorized and archived over the years. |

KEEPERS of the STAR GLADE (UNDER HEAVY CONSTRUCTION: EXCUSE THE MESS!) A diverse Clan of dragons who have dedicated themselves to protecting the Star Wood that homes and inspires them. They are led by their devout progen queen, Lilith. Though accepting of all elements, their focus remains on Arcane and Nature for the care of the Wood. Alternately: A bunch of loser dragons with a borderline unhealthy attachment to a patch of space trees. Exalting: Among the Keepers, being exalted is considered a high honor. Some are chosen from a very early age, marked at birth by the Arcanist or foretold by the priestess to have a destiny among the ranks. For others, it is a conscious decision, and the devotee must work hard to become worthy in the eyes of the Arcanist to serve among his ranks. Choosing not to serve the Arcanist if it's your destiny is considered very bad faith, but it is tolerated amongst the clan. Elementary Diversity: Though the Keepers are most focused on Arcane (and, in a smaller way, Nature) as far as elemental culture, there is a wide diversity of dragons within the Keepers, and they are largely welcoming to all. Lilith does everything within her power to keep her clan open and accepting of all elementals. Sub-Clans: The small Nomadic sub-clan, lead by Ailith and Eileen, is well-liked among the Keepers as a whole, though they can also be the source of some tensions. Religion: Though the Arcanist is the official god of the Keepers (and most, if not all, Clans within the Arcane flight), Queen Lilith and the Clan in general are very accepting (or, at the very least, tolerant) of observing other Gods and deities, and do indeed celebrate every elemental festival when it comes around. Visiting the local Star Temple is not by any means mandatory, but it is very well attended by almost every Keeper. Governing and Leadership: Lilith, the well-established leader, is referred to as a Queen. However, the Keepers are not considered a true monarchy by any means, and although Lilith has the ultimate say in most decisions, Representatives and Ardent (as secondary progen) have limited veto rights, and every Keeper has a voice if they choose to, as Lilith tries hard to be the kind of leader to listen and learn from her underlings. Beastclans: Though involved in conflicts with a number of clans, as all of dragonkind seems to be as of late, the Keepers have a steady and deep-rooted alliance with most of the centaur herds who live in the Starwood, brought together by common interests and a long history. |
