This dark scaled warrior is known for his vicious attacks, calculating his opponents moves and taking them down in a swift movement. He blends in to the forest, and ambushes them when they're not aware of his presence. He can understand what his pet is saying, so he and the owl communicate and talk about their plan of attack without the enemy dragons knowing he's there. They just think there's two Wildwood Owls calling to each other.

He met his pet in the forest, and together the two take out enemies using teamwork. The owl, whose name is Wild, is very outgoing and loves to play with the other familiars. Wild often lets the smaller familiars ride on his back when he goes on flights, and although the owl looks grumpy he's actually very kind.

When not in battle, Drachen is laid back and laughs a lot. He spends a lot of the time with his mate Adele, and a small group of friends. His favorite thing to do is to imitate the other dragons in the Clan, and makes a game of it.

One day he and Adele found an abandoned Nocturne hatchling with black scales and orange wings. Along with the hatchling was a Citrine Cave Jewel, and the two adults took the hatchling and the pet back to the Clan. The two raised her as their own, and named her Amber.

As to Amber falling in love with Xires, Drachen doesn't agree. He thinks the mirror will hurt his daughter, but no matter what he says Amber does the opposite. He can't stop her, so he tolerates Xires's affections towards his daughter....for now.
