Biography

Mekhari
Arabian Prince
I was born into a life of luxury. As the only child of the king and queen, I was the heir. I was the hope of the kingdom. My parents gave me my every desire, and I reveled in it. I wore the finest silks, eat the tastiest delicacies, and, as I grew older, threw the wildest parties. My parents gave me lessons in ruling the kingdom, but I never paid much attention. My father was a quiet, wise dragon. He hated violence and conflict, and had kept our kingdom at peace for many years. He hated forcing me to do anything, so for years my training went mostly neglected. On the day I came of age, my parents finally realized that I needed to go from a lazy, arrogant, uneducated dragon to a wise, noble, educated leader. Suddenly, I was forced into lesson after lesson. After my life of idleness, I wasn't used to working so hard. I was expected to know everything, and I hated that I was failing. Although I tried to ignore it, somewhere inside me I wanted to succeed, to be the prince my parents wanted. After a year of this, I decided to run away. I was brash and arrogant, and I assumed somehow everything would just work out. I had never needed something and been denied it, so I could not imagine myself hungry or poor. I took money with me, but I quickly used it up. A day after I used up my last coin I met Sahara. At that point I was dirty and hungry and tired. I became hopelessly lost. I wished that I had never left my home. When I saw a merchant's caravan in the distance, I flew toward it. When I told them I was lost and had run out of supplies, they gave me food and water. 4Q7Jczg.gif

I5p64Yz.gif Ashamed to admit I was a runaway prince, I told them I had gone ahead of my group to see the Jade Waterfalls. Sahara was the merchant's daughter. When I was with her, I felt free. I loved to make her smile and laugh. I fell in love with Sahara. One day she told me she loved me. My heart soared. I felt joyful, until I remembered that she didn't even know who I was. I told her of my past, hating myself for my selfish behavior. Sahara still loved me. At first when I brought her to my parents, they didn't approve of Sahara. She was a commoner, and I was a prince. But Sahara was more ready to be royalty than I was. Together, we could be King and Queen. Once my parents realized that Sahara brought out the best in me and would make a fine queen, they consented to the match. After that, I still loved a good party and wore silk clothing, but I realized what was important. I knew ruling would be hard, but I faced it head on, for I knew Sahara would be at my side.

Married a commoner to his parent's distain
"Ever the immature one, he can be quite a pain!"
Kingdom never suited him, so he ran away
Heartbroken were his parents to find he'd gone astray
Alas he came back and all of that changed, meeting Sahara, a wedding was arranged
Realizing eventually she kept Mekhari in line, his
Imperial parents found it hard to decline!
