Rauth

Rauth is a charismatic individual who could sell snow to an Ice dragon. He is at home in a crowd and enjoys talking to others, while keeping a well trained eye open for valuables. Naturally, he deals with trading matters, selling his clan-mates findings to interested buyers from other clans. So far he is the clan's primary source of income, which is good because he was never much interested in getting his hands dirty fighting beasts and hunting. However, this does not mean that he will chicken out of a fight. He is adept at using magic and isn't too shabby with teeth and claws; quite frankly, Leikan enjoys having Rauth beside him amidst a battle. In many complicated and uncomfortable matters the Imperial tries to appear indifferent and unaffected; he says it is part of what helps him seal a good deal. However, all know that when it really comes down to a situation that is truly wrong, he will not hesitate to act even if it reveals an emotional weakness; his adoption of Hahnverk is proof of that.

Rauth is very protective of those he considers personal family, which includes his mate, Shanari, and his children, Tsarkov, Lenara, Arakodu, and Hahnverk. He is usually on good terms with most of the clan, being close friends with Leikan and Melan, but is unnerved by the likes of Bralinas and Murk. He finds Bralinas to be unreasonable and abrasive with her zealot behavior, and he thinks Murk is the creepiest dragon in the clan.

Rauth is very much hoping that matters concerning the nearby Maren population work out; as far as he is concerned, being friends with them can only result in an increase of income for his little trading business. However, at the same time he is a realist, and knows that a lot of work will have to be done on both sides for the Maren and the Clan of the Deep Echoes to be allies. Quite frankly, he knows that the only side that's giving much into peace negotiations is the clan, and the Beastmen would rather all of them die of Maren poisons.

His canon offspring are Tsarkov, Lenara, and Arakodu, as well as his adopted son, Hahnverk.
