Across the Mirrorlight Promenade, many Clans lay scattered. They are the remnants of a Kingdom that once, long ago, resided proudly as the sole ruler of the land. Today, these Clans send their best and brightest dragons known as Lightkeepers, associated with the Guild of their namesake, to study the long-lost relics of this kingdom as historians of the Promenade's past and future.

Cianni has lived with the Lightkeepers long enough that her memories of her past Clan are murky. She knows, however, that she was not born on the Promenade as others of her kin, and that she came from a land far away. She is reserved, but not shy, and relentless in her pursuit of the mythology surrounding the history of the Clans of the Promenade.

Devoted to the sole pursuit of knowledge, Cianni (and by extension, her brothers and sisters of the Lightkeepers) takes a neutral stance towards the political schema dividing the land, though her wisdom and knowledge is often sought for by the Princes, Barons, and Viscounts of the major Clans.
