Dregs is an utterly unnatural creature, born from a witch's cauldron, concocted from the vile sludge of an accursed creature. Dregs looks more like a winged slug than a dragon. It's limbs are little more than nubs and its slimy skin leaves behind a sludge trail that resembles an ink scrawl. Its wings feature claw tips that can be used as clumsy digits. It moves about by propping itself up on its wings and hopping forward, as its limbs are nearly useless for supporting it.

Dregs, being scraped from the bottom of the cauldron, is actually minuscule compared to the breed of dragon it was meant to resemble. Its form is malleable enough to fit into very small places. Despite this, Dregs' rasping voice fills the room entirely when it speaks and it can easily command attention when it chooses.

Despite having no definitive job in the clan, Dregs makes itself useful through spywork, squirming its way into crevasses and holes where it can watch and eavesdrop without being noticed. They are the eyes and ears of the clan, and often one of the first to know when something is about to happen. Usually, they simply deal with gossip, filling in the gaps and details lost in personal squabbles, or offering testimony in regards to any given dispute. Their mind is a trap, and their capacity for remembering minute details is extraordinary. Sometimes though, they bring others' private affairs to Irda, so that they can be dealt with swiftly, and this, they were never asked to do. They simply do it, their interclan spying seeming to be the best way for them to earn their keep.

Most of the time, however, they stay near the main entrance to the Root System, squashed into the ceiling beams and noting everyone who comes and goes. Sometimes, they speak softly with Giant Jack, discussing any visitors that pass by, and passing along clan events that occur underground.
