Talise
Nest Guardian / Survivor / Dreamer  Talise longs for nothing more than a mate and nest of her own. But her fiery temper and arrogant mannerisms keep others at a distance. Nobody knows that Talise was abandoned before she was even hatched, and left to fend for herself in the harsh lightning realm. Despite forced maturity, deep down she is quite childlike and hopeful for a happy life. After awakening from a dream where she experienced joy for the first time, she could no longer be satisfied with her lonely existence. With the fleeting memory of happiness, she courageously flew as far away from her homeland as her wings could carry her. Uncounted moons passed before she reached the Auric Sea, then finally a small but dry reef to land on (where she collapsed from exhaustion). Calypso spotted her during hatchling flight training one day, and immediately sent a rescue Guardian to bring her to safety on the Island. Talise has never known what it feels like to be part of a family, but accepting Fable's invitation to join the clan is the closest she's ever come. She had hoped to capture his love interest, and be a loyal mate, but gave up on that dream long ago. Now, she vigilantly guards the clans nests to earn her keep until she can find a suitable mate to give her a clutch of her own. Until then, she keeps herself busy with her duties and often pretends the eggs belong to her. Will she ever find a mate who can see through her steely facade to the sweet and loving creature inside?
