Biography
Vertigo
Child of the Darkriders
Child of the Darkriders
While most may think of her allegiance to a group of pirates as greed-driven, it's far from the truth. She's not in it for the treasure. Some hearts were just born to travel and seek the thrill in life, and Vertigo's is one of them.
Since she was born she has posessed an innate sense of wanderlust along with a very strong thirst for knowledge. What better way to see the world, and hear the stories of its inhabitants than the life of a pirate? She didn't necessarily choose the life, but was moreso destined for it. Having been born from two sea-loving parents, she already had an appreciation for the water and its secrets. Some dragons achieve their destiny, others have their destiny thrust upon them, Vertigo is of the latter variety. As a whelp, she wandered off one evening, in search of her usual adventure and found herself in a little deeper than originally planned. That eve, she ran into a small group of brooding dragons, all covered in scars and adorned in seafarer's gear. Her curiosity was far stronger than her sense of being cautious however, and so she decided to tag behind them, swimming beneath their flying fleet as they crossed the waters. Sadly she was too slow to keep up, and by the time she realized that she would never catch up to them, she was far from home and too tired to swim anymore. Lost in the middle of the sea, what could a whelp do but cry for their mother? Mother wasn't near enough but one of the shady sea dragons from above had heard her, and taking pity on her, scooped down to the rescue. He took her onto his back and young Vertigo was amazed, flying high above the sea for the first time, seeing the way the sunrise reflected off of it. Never having guessed when she left that earlier evening, she made the choice to remain a pirate and travel with her newfound family. Her heart had already made the choice. Though she often missed her parents, she felt there was something more calling to her. With the Darkriders at her wing feathers, she may just end up ruling the open waters she calls home.

There you see her, standing tall and sturdy in the sand. Her deep-set blue eyes that are like two sapphires burning through you.. There's something captivating about her as she searches through her satchels for something. Perhaps it's her coldness or sculpted, wild face, but you find her somewhat intimidating. Her claws are razor sharp and no dragons spines have ever glimmered in the moonlight quite like hers. She's a strange beauty, dangerous, and you don't know why - but you want to know more about her.
