The ONLY time he’s ever lost a bet is with the clan leader. They got him GOOD with the ol “get ‘em drunk” trick. Who knew such a poor looking laddie had such FANTASTIC wine?! It was such a disgusting feeling to lose, when he was so good at winning, that he made sure he’d never lose again! Yet, who knew his life would get signed away because of it. Of course, he tried to slither away like the good little snake that he is - but alas! They caught me by the tail and I had no choice but to give in. Had it been a really bad situation, he would have found a way to escape by now, but I suppose the concept of “home” really does tend to grow on you…
He shivered at the thought - shaking away any affectionate thoughts he had just a second ago. “Gold is the only TRUE thing in this world! And I tend to earn so much of it that they’ll never notice a few of them missing!”
