BerryCordial is a dragon every bit as fierce as her Plague-red eyes would imply. A tenacious fighter, she's known for her ability to tear through her enemies, not stopping until they've been torn to shreds. She's also known for her impulsiveness, leaping into battles as soon as she catches the scent of blood, taking on as many enemies as she can handle just because they happen to be there while she's spoiling for a fight. She exhibits these traits outside of battle too, leaping into situations without waiting to be invited, and digging into whatever is at hand, be it an emotional tangle or a problem to be solved, and not letting go until she's torn it to shreds.

It was gently suggested to her that she might benefit from the chance to channel her impulsive energy into battle training, and that she might find the discipline of it helpful as well. The idea of becoming a real warrior, not just chasing off the occasional incursion of pests or hunting with the rest of the clan, appealed to her. So she took herself along with the group of others who'd volunteered to be trained to fight. Although it was clear that some of the volunteers just wanted to learn enough to defend themselves, and that others didn't have the dedication or stamina for the strict training regime, BerryCordial took to it like nothing else. Her natural skill at fighting and her tenacious, bordering on bloodthirsty, demeanor made her a natural, and she found she enjoyed the discipline of training more than she would have thought. There was a big difference between attacking fiercely but haphazardly, and being a well-honed fighter who attacked with fierceness and precision. She improved quickly, and it became clear that she, along with two others, was one of the most skilled fighters in the group.

BerryCordial was still getting used to the idea of fighting as part of a team, and it was with a little trepidation that she was grouped with the other two, to learn how to fight as a trio. Part of her resented it. She wanted to be a warrior lauded for her strength and ferocity on her own merit, not just one of a group. She got along well enough with Shock, although she privately thought that the elegant Skydancer seemed a little vain. But the third member of their trio, another Spiral named Pastille, seemed distant, arrogant even, like he doubted her abilities. BerryCordial didn't have a lot of patience for that, and the implication that she was a substandard fighter didn't sit well with her.

However, as they fought and trained together, and got to know each other, it became clear that the three were more well suited than she had thought. Although she carefully tended to her feathers after a battle, Shock never hesitated to leap in at their side and fight just fiercely as the other two. And Pastille's demeanor, she realized, was contemplative and calm, quiet and distant because he was coming up a battle plan that would use their combined strength to the best effect. The three of them fought with brute strength alone, no magic at a distance and no healing, which left them little room for slip ups. They learned to fight together like a well-oiled machine, and to trust the others to watch their backs. This forged a bond between them like nothing else. Now, both in and out of battle, the three have a bond of trust and friendship that nothing else can match.

Careful? What do I need that for when I've got you guys watching my back?
