Yakone was found as an egg in an abandoned nest by Karale. He took that egg with him and had almost lost it when he came under attack by Shade possessed animals. He did fight fiercely to protect the egg and gained scars as well as having to replace his legs.

However, he eagerly waited for Yakone to hatch as he saw himself as an older brother to him. Yakone did accept Karale as his older brother and has become quite attached to him.

While Karale does work for the Mechanical Subdivision, Yakone joined under Spira. Part of the reason was due to wanting magical knowledge for healing should anyone come under attack and another was to learn how to use it for attacking. That way he can help in battle.

Yakone does look up to Isolt since she was the one to save Karale's life. However, he is sometimes put off by her nature since she's still learning how to act like an adult.

He does enjoy chess and other games like it as he enjoys testing his mind against others. Yakone was originally a fae but was changed into a skydancer. However, Yakone gets random visions that he's meant to become a different dragon when the time is right. He finds it both exciting but also somewhat scary as he doesn't know if it would also change him mentally too. He was changed instantly into a skydancer so he doesn't remember how he was before.

His prophecy came true the day that he bumped into Anahira as she was experimenting on a new brew. His herbs fell into it, resulting in an explosion that resulted in both getting covered with the contents of the brew. Fairly quickly afterward, he underwent a change into a Bogsneak. He's not quite certain what to make of it.

Yakone also found himself to now be shiny like opal. He's still not sure what to make of it all.
