Diligence

A dragon once upon a time known as Diligence; a ruthless politician who clawed his way up the Ordon clan's ranks and took his place beside the founder's descendant, Maretta, as her partner and potential candidate for their future leadership. His plans turned awry, however, when none of their offspring proved to be viable successors, and one young Spiral upstart usurped his place on the (proverbial) throne. Ashamed of his lost legacy, he remained as a member of the higher council, cut-throat but fair in his dealings and wholly without ambition. His last remarkable act was serving as the tutor to the true heiress Maranwe after the Spiral - her father - abandoned them for a "new adventure."

With many years to grow since these events took place, perhaps there is a way he could find redemption, or even simply a new purpose, somewhere else?
