Slick

Slick used to be an ordinary dragon- a dark, but fluffy little thing, some might say - and he even has a daughter, but something dark awoke inside when he saw large, ancient dragons fighting in grand battles to defend their territories. While training with his family and friends, he didn't understand when to stop, and quickly became known for his cruelty in battle towards prey and dragons alike. He'd pin them down, and through supernatural means, he sapped the magical forces from their bodies.
There was something wrong with him.

Having noticed the grave misdeeds and bloody sacrifices he'd made on her hallowed ground, Lightweaver herself cautiously challenged this savage beast in order to protect her land. Noticing the sickening gleam in his eyes, and the permanent, twisted snarl across his face, she knew he was not to be underestimated...

They fought a long, and arduous battle, and it was certainly something to behold. By the end, they both looked battered and worn, and it was unclear who might be the victor. Many dragons watched from a great distance, fearing they may have to jump in to rescue their deity, while others knew she must have some great power she'd not yet revealed to this fiend.

As the large, ragged tundra threw himself at the god of light, she spread her frills and released a final burst of pure energy, blinding and staggering his attack. She spoke in ancient tongues, weaving an unholy curse about him, before the ground of the Hewn City split open and swallowed him. A nervous calm settled across the land as the wind rustled the grass, many relieved sighs resounding from the distant crowd. Through tired panting, Lightweaver called to the onlookers, "Beware the beast who lies below. I have cursed him here, as a testament to carelessness and indignity in battle. He will suffer here alone, for all eternity, for his terrible crimes."

And with that, his resting place had been laid. It's been centuries since it occurred, but many claim that the curse that binds him has grown weaker over the years, especially since Lightweaver has had to pay more attention to Luminax the Emperor. Those who brave the Hewn City at night may find themselves overtaken with sudden bouts of weakness, as Slick's ravenous spirit drains them of their power from somewhere nearby, lying in wait to get his revenge...
