I am Sap. I preserve the Grove's potential energy for later use. I guard the food stores of dried fruit and buried nuts, I herd animals away, and into enclosed areas for later consumption.

The Mind and Soul of this Grove produced just one egg when they first found one another in this place. I hatched from that egg. I am first-hatched of the Grove, fledgling of the land, bound to it in a profound manner; it it is not my life's purpose, and I am still Seeking.

Mind your step as you tread around this Grove, for I lie low in pits, coated in earth and foliage such that I am invisible until trod upon. In this manner, I may catch thieves who would not dare approach the stores if they could see me.
