To some degree, most dragons in the Clan consider themselves to be Valdis' children; however, Sive is one of only two biological offspring who have remained with the Clan. Most have gone to serve the Plaguebringer, but Sive's natural sense of authority and remarkable tenacity made her an excellent candidate for leading Scavenging parties out in the Boneyard.

Being one of Valdis' offspring does not grant her any official privileges, but it does put her under closer scrutiny from her peers. She has consistently risen to those heightened expectations. She is not known for her friendliness, but she is efficient and extremely capable. She knows the subtle secrets in the landscape of the seemingly endless wastelands, and the Clan universally regards her with respect.
