Uh-oh, looks like this perky young pretty old Guardian wandered a little too far from her lair (45393, Spooner), and now she's off to see the world! Papa said I could come with him and meet my grand-dam! I'll miss Mama, but she says she always knew I'd be as restless as my Papa was.


My Grand-Dam was so happy to see my papa! And even happier to see me! She let me stay for a few days before I took off again, and papa gave me his boots and gorget. He looked sad to see me go, but he'll be so happy when I find my charge one day!

Many things have happened and I've been to a lot of places! I still haven't found my charge, but something tells me it'll be just around the corner! It's too bad there are so many corners in this dragon lair!

There are only a few other fellow Guardians, but a large number of these dragons seem to know about Guardian customs, especially with regards to finding their charges! I talked to the red Guardian today, and he told me that it's not always easy to figure out what it is. He told me that he felt that he had a charge but didn't know what it was specifically at first. That's too hard to think about! I hope it's not that hard for me...

I spoke to the brown lady Guardian today! She told me that her charge became the woods around this lair- that no tree shall fall without her knowing. I hope my charge isn't as vast as an entire forest...

There's nothing left for me here. I think I'll keep moving.

The next lair I visited also had a few fellow Guardians, and even one Tundra who claimed he had once been a Guardian. His views on Charges were pretty weird, but that's probably because he isn't a Guardian anymore. Something about an experiment?

One of the older Guardians in the lair was really nice to me though! She's probably the oldest dragon here, by a lot. It was really nice listening to her stories, but she couldn't tell me much about finding my Charge. Oh well, I guess I should move on soon...

Oh! But one of the dragons here gave me this really nice necklace before I left. I'll always treasure it!


No luck in this new lair, the only guardians are too old to seem to remember anything, including having a simple conversation. I decide perhaps I'll have better luck looking elsewhere.

A lair I stumbled upon in an ice-crusted landscape came up to have no guardians! They let me stay the night, but I didn't stay long. There's many other guardians out there who can tell me about my charge--I hope I can find it soon!

I made it to a clan led by Faes! There are a bunch of guardians here, too! They're all very nice, but two of the males, Ra and Atilla I think their names are, are very grumpy and laugh at me. Also I've had so much fun meeting all these clans that I didn't realize that all of my apparel has disappeared! I was so sad, until a nice Imperial, named Conquest, gave me a daisy lei she made from her own flowers, from her own garden! I guess I've been focusing so much on other guardians that I forgot how nice others could be, too. Sadly, I didn't find my charge here. So I'm leaving the wind territory to try and find a new clan to try my luck in!

I landed in a clan among windy fields and bamboo. It was led by a Skydancer and co-run by a ageing Guardian! The Leader, Ruby, said that the previous leader was a Guardian too and that her second, Desideria, was the daughter of that leader. I asked her what her charge was and she looked to her leader. I thought that was nice. I met an Imperial witch there too, she could do amazing magic. There were many other Skydancers, and Ridgebacks too. There was only one other Guardian named Heatwave, but he made it clear that he did not have intentions of being my friend. That's okay. I didn't find my charge there either, but it was a nice visit.

I came across a small budding clan but as they didn't have any other Guardians, I only spent the night to rest up before moving on.

The next clan I stayed with had many Guardian dragons. Most of them had found their charges in a friend or a family member. I didn't think I would find my charge here, in this Clan, but I was pleasantly surprised. In this Clan, I found a mate! I didn't think that I would ever fall in love, being a wandering dragon, but I met a handsome tundra dragon named Cratus. I was worried at first that he would stop being interested in me once he found out I didn't plan on staying in his Clan very long. But he told me that he planned on being a Wanderer himself, and that it suited him perfectly that I didn't want to settle down. We had a clutch of five eggs together. Cratus and I decided to each take one of the hatchlings and go our separate ways. I decided to take the only female tundra in the clutch, our first born. We named her Kir. Cratus is taking the only Guardian male, Stark, with him on his travels. Our other three children, Morgana, Winter and Jack are going to stay behind. I'm going to miss everyone, but I'm excited to see where I end up next.


My daughter and I have found ourselves in the Tangled Wood, led here by a pair of Fae. What was peculiar was that Nux used to be a Guardian himself. I could barely believe something so small used to be my own size. When asked how such a thing happened he quickly took me to JungleSinger and Soulweaver, they were a mystical pair of Pearlcatchers to say the least. They went into great detail about the magics that went into changing one form for another. When asking if they had done this before my daughter and I were shocked to see a crystal Tundra in the distance. We could hardly believe it when we were told that Articuno was once an Imperial. With no other possible Guardians around, we decided it was time to go, but not before Nux gifted me a Daisy Corsage, wishing my daughter and I luck on our travels.

The next clan we landed in was in a dark forest. Nothing here seems terribly good, and I worry for my daughter, who seems to enjoy it here. I will be glad for the day we leave, hopefully.


In the chaos of the MIGHTY MAN-CAVE, I found no Guardians, though an awful lot claimed to have once been them. It baffles me that so many dragons claiming to be STRONG would much rather be smaller Spirals and Faes! Isn't that counter to their values?

Also, in the confusing whirl of colours, I have become separated from my daughter, Kir. She is capable of looking after herself now, but still... continuing on after the awful realization was an act that almost broke my heart. I pray to all the deities that she will be okay.



For being such a common species, guardians sure are hard to come by. Honestly, I've been through--how many lairs now?--without seeing a single one! Perhaps I'll find one once I move on. Oh, I sent a letter to my daughter. I hope it finds her well and healthy. I don't think I'll stay here long. I get the feeling the leader doesn't like having me here. It's making me pretty uncomfortable.

Back at the MAN-CAVE. How many lairs has it been since I last came here with Kir at my side? The clan decorated me with flowers and 'brosicles', as though I haven't crossed paths with them in centuries. They trained me to fight in their 'bear-wrestling pit', and with great ceremony, looked into the scrying pool and saw some sort of 'gening broption' for me.

They act like hatchlings. I do not think I will stay here long - all this undignified 'menthusiasm' is only reminding me of Kir.

Where is she?

What is she doing?

I miss her.

...I need to find her.
Finding myself in the Shadowbinder's territory, I was welcomed into a clan with an old guardian of similar colors to mine at the head. The members of the clan were varied, some only present in the shadows that seem to surround the edges of everything in these reaches, but those that I met were kind and eager to hear of my travels.

I also discovered that my daughter had been here, not too many weeks before me. Though I was eager to begin looking for her once more, the dragons here unfortunately did not know where she had ventured once she left. I remained for a time, enjoying the shady chill of the climate, but it's time for me to move on once more. Hopefully my path will take me in the same direction it took my daughter.

I came across a clan in the Starwood Strand. It was led by a Nocturne named Exino. He was very kind and let me stay for as long as I wanted. There were a few guardians there. They all had charges but when I asked them how they came about finding their charges they just told me they knew as soon as they saw them. One Guardian male told me that his charge, who is Exino, saved his life when he was a hatchling. All good tips I guess. but I'll keep looking.

I arrived at the Sunbeam Ruins just in time for the Jubilee. I know the festivities will be crowded, but they draw in dragons from all over Sornieth! Perhaps I'll be lucky enough to find my daughter here. I think she's close. I can feel it.

The nice skydancer at the post office told me she'll keep an eye out for anyone matching Kir's description, and that I could write her a letter, if I'd like. I decide to take her up on the offer, and attach my corsage to the paper.

At least she'll have something to remind her of me, even if I can't find her.
