Biography
"Ahah, my love.. The things you say about him.. They are simply not true." Arataki smiles and looks at her paws. "He's never done a wrong thing in his life." |
Arataki, queen of the unwanted clan. Queen of the clan who refuses to be; but has not a choice. Arataki's wills and actions are and have been fueled by the cruel notions of her husband, taking over the lives of not only her own parents; but the rest of her loved ones as well. Her actions are performed nearly blindly; with nothing except for the raw motivation of her mate in her ear keeping her from ceasing. The love that burns in her for her beloved mate is pure example of it's cruelty. Love will surely destroy. It has, it is, and it will. The children she bore are strictly raised by herself, as instructed by Kadilliman himself. 'Hail your father. Hail your mother. Follow no command but his and my own.' They learned nothing but the rules of the clan and the faux reality she and her mate had forced upon them. Ah, how well the children would grow and take their places. Kadilliman had said that it was for the best of the clan that they kept them at bay like this. He told her again and again that by telling the children these things, when they took on the role of the kings and queens, that it would establish peace. Yet, even though he told her these things.. Her father and mother protested and told her to stand up for herself, to do what they would do. Arataki refused. 'You are older and do not understand the new ways we must rule.' She had told them what Kadilliman told her to say. None of them knew that the words she spoke were now not her own. Sometimes she would question Kadilliman and the way he acted; the things he said. He wouldn't respond with a clear answer. He would say that the clan needed to become pure, as it was not before. He said this as he forced dragons to leave; made other clans pay to take them in as their own. He said it was for the best as he shipped off children to be sold at a black market. These were the things he did, and yet Arataki refused to see the evil in these things. She would only see the good he was doing. Their clan was not overpopulated, and they had a hoard filled to the brim with treasures and objects of beauty. These things were anything but bad. These were the things that made life special: the luxuries. So now, she was happy. She felt the love from her mate, her children, and had everything she could ever ask for. She refused to think about the losses of others. Why would one pity another? Kadilliman told her specifically; 'you cannot enjoy the life you live if you show sympathy for those who have not one.' Those were the words that changed her. Those were the words that changed everything. |
