After getting a little lost and traveling for way longer than anticipated during the move from the Viridian Labyrinth to the Tangled Wood, Prose decided it was high time for the clan to have a more accurate set of maps. How many times had she and her fellows misjudged the distance on a map due to inaccuracies or stumbled across dangerous territory and nearly been fatally injured? The official maps of Sornieth were lacking in proper scaling and accuracy and sending out scouts was like pulling scales. The problem was obvious, but it's solution wasn't so clear. Yet, Prose continue to keep this goal in mind in the months to come and finally, on a visit to a friendly clan that was then residing in the Windswept Plateau, she found what she was looking for.

BitterWind was only a few weeks old when he met Prose and the

other visitors from Roots' Reaches, but he was already eager to explore the world. His elders had been having a difficult time keeping up with him because he liked to wander, and they were happy to send him somewhere new where he could indulge his wanderlust, and Bitty was more than happy to go. He became fast friends with a coatl named Aria about his age. The two dragons grew up together, exploring Roots' Reaches and finding a new adventure at every turn.

It wasn't until the dragons had reached maturity that Prose

explained the task she had in mind for them. Both Aria and Bitty were delighted by the idea. A few weeks after Prose gave them their new mission, they had gathered all the supplies and were ready to head out. Their first journey was to the Windswept Plateau, back to Bitty's original lair, and when he saw the clan grounds on the horizon, he felt a rush of pride and happiness.

Bitty and Aria are still continuing their travels and exploring parts of

the world primarily unknown. Bitterwind does most of the map-making, but Aria sometimes helps him figure out the scaling. He's never been the best at math, but with Aria's help, their maps are some of the most accurate and most intricate of all the eleven flights. Aria, on the other hand, is more interested in the culture of the places they visit, rather than of the beauty in the landscapes. Her curiosity has gotten the two of them into trouble on many occasions but the two agree that, as long as they're together, they can make it through anything.
