Marmalade was another one of the six founders of the clan, and one of the main reasons it held together in its early days. While Beetle crumbled under stress and Arc shut down because of past issues, Marmalade kept a cool, level head and picked up all the slack. He served as the Beetle's advisor, and kept Arc from falling apart from the pressure. He helped out everywhere, he taught the hatchlings how to hunt and preserve food, he kept track of treasure and items before Yoko came around, and was the clan ambassador up until recently when Mikhail took up the role. Though he is no longer the oldest, he is not as arrogant and close-minded as Mikhail, and is far wiser because of it. When in trouble, all dragons come to him for advice. He is rational and empathetic, one of the most trusted dragons in the clan.
Nowadays he does not have as much work to do, and simply helps raise the hatchlings, telling them stories and knitting big fluffy sweaters to keep the little ones warm. On stormy nights when Chai cooks up a hearty bowl of stew, he tells the clan stories in front of the main hearth, entrancing all with his words. Years later, he remains the heart of the clan and the stable foundation which it was built upon.
