Biography

Neptune

Diver

Neptune is a highly dedicated deep-sea diver. Ever since he was hatched, he knew his path would lead to the ocean. He actually paid to be enchanted at a young age to have gills and fins (much to the consternation of his parents). Although he was grounded for weeks, the ability to dive deeper and swim better than ever before was well worth it.

While occasionally Neptune's surfaced with his satchel and pockets bursting with treasure (and he does love a good treasure map), that's not the reason he dives. It's more often he comes up with a bag full of nothing more than neat shells, stones, and trinkets that caught his eye and that he carefully catalogs and stores in his room. The reason Neptune is out so frequently is simple: he just loves the ocean. Being surrounded by the water and quiet by himself is when Neptune's happiest.

How Neptune came to stay in a Wind lair is a fairly short tale. One day while out by himself, he came upon a group of hostile Maren. Quickly overwhelmed, Neptune nevertheless managed to inflict some damage of his own before turning to flee. He managed to elude them just long enough to get to land, only to see he'd swam in the exact opposite direction of home and landed in Wind territory. Luckily for him, when he staggered from the water Nevada was near on her way to gather aquatic plants for Natalia. She quickly transported the wounded mirror back to Starslang.

Other than a few nasty scars and lingering stiffness in his left shoulder, Neptune came out of the scrape intact. And the time he spent recuperating at Starslang convinced him to stay permanently, deciding it was about time he moved out of his parents' place anyway.
