Biography
***
She was her parents' chosen one, the one sibling not to be sent to the Flamecaller, but instead fashioned, taught and trained to travel the world, to spread Fire Flight propaganda as well as to learn from other Flights. They named her Alemayehu, its literal meaning "I have seen the world", and its spiritual meaning "I have enjoyed life", hoping for both these meanings to become true.

07/28/15 - By chance alone, I stumbled upon a strange stone inside a bamboo cluster located on the Reedcleft Ascent of the Windswept Plateau. Intrigued, I placed my claw on the rune engraved in the center, only to jump back as the rest of the runes carved on the stone flashed green and a rumbling sound filled the air. When I dared to open my eyes again, I found, to my astonishment, that I was in a lair teeming with dragons-- when asked, they told me that the stone I had touched was a cleverly created portal that transported dragons into their lair. I stayed with them for a while and indeed, they were a strange bunch. Most of the dragons were easy to get along with, no matter how cold they seemed towards me at first, but some of them were complete and utter mysteries. In fact, I never even saw nearly a fifth of the lair. Ah, well-- perhaps if I stumble by again, I will ask about those mystery dragons. Oh, I nearly forgot! During my stay, a Yellow-Throated Sparrowmouse took a liking to me (it had accidentally wandered into their lair as well, and had been taken care of by Strawberry, their familiar trainer, at the time) and decided to accompany me on my travels. I haven't decided on a name for him yet, but I'm sure I will in time.

08/13/15 - After a journey from the Reedcleft Ascent, I found myself in the Sunbeam Ruins. The harsh sunlight was quite blistering, but it's nothing I'm not used to. After all, the heat in the Ashfall Waste can get much more intense! Crumbling structures of all kinds in varying states of decay littered the landscape in the Lightweaver's domain. When I went to examine some of these mysterious ruins for myself, I was confronted by an enormous carmine Guardian who didn't seem too happy to see me, so I quickly explained I was on a journey to learn about all of the other flights across Sornieth. That seemed to be enough for him, and he beckoned for me to follow him into his lair to meet the clan leader. She was a Fae dragon just like me, and she welcomed me to stay as long as I'd like! The clan I stayed with had integrated the ruins into the structure of their own lair, just like many other dragons in the region. Where ever there were dragons, there were books. Light clans are always in pursuit of knowledge in order to uncover the truth as Reyna, the clan leader, explained to me. The atmosphere inside was very quiet and focused, but during my stay, I witnessed a debate that got quite heated. When it comes to true knowledge, these quiet light dragons can invoke a burning passion not unlike the fiery dragons of the Ashfall Waste! That reminds me: The Flameforger's Festival is coming up soon! I'm excited to see how other clans celebrate my flight's holiday!

08/13/15 - There aren't any words for what I've come across in this lair. The dragons here don't know how to interact in large groups, but they manage to deal with it in smaller groups. I'll post more tomorrow, I've gotta get some rest before the big day tomorrow- Katarine (Kat) and Lanuria (Luna) promised to show me the ropes, I'm so excited! 08/14/15 - Wow it's been crazy today. With this registration window just ending we've been sending out dragons and care packages to the newbies. It feels so good to help them get on their feet. Luna and I did a little bit of exploring and we came across four nests that were ready to hatch. The little ones were so cute to watch, nuzzling their mommas. That's all for now~ I'm so excited, I've been offered a home here. Belv is even asking me to nest with him.. I'm not sure how I feel about this but he seems like a great guy. I hope its not a lie. 08/15/15 - Today's been calmer since there weren't many new viruses needing dragons or care packages. Its really great that I could be here for this. Anddddd, I'm proud to say that I'm on my first nest, after it hatches I think it'll be time to hit the road. I just hope that my hatchies will be alright without me. I know that this is a good clan to leave them with. I can't wait for them to get here though. It's a weird thought, trying to anticipate their arrival, especially since just yesterday I wasn't even thinking about nesting.... 08/19/15 - My nest hatched today! I can't wait to see what travels my babies go on. I'm leaving though, its time to see how other lairs work and how they celebrate my clan.

15/08/15 - My travels has brought me to the edge of the Abiding Boneyard. My children, Zebrine and Miltiades are now traveling with me. Our sparrowmouse came fluttering back at us when an menacing looking ridgeback approached us. She said her clan had just moved here yesterday, and that they were looking for help setting things up. As an exchange, we were welcomed to stay with them for as long as we like. We agreed, as it might be dangerous to wonder on our own in these wastelands. During our stay, we decided to name our feathery familiar Seeker, as it matched his nature. My hatchlings and theirs got along pretty well, but it would seem that most of them are getting ready to leave the nest, either to join another clan, or to serve the Plaguebringer. I wonder if I should let Zebrine and Miltiades go as well. There's a high chance that I will lose them during my travels. Maybe I can direct them back home, where it's safe, in the Great Furnace. |
