Biography
Kyrith Clan Huntress / Warrior Mate of Korvynkess Permanence BIO: When they say 'Never judge a book by its cover', it is usually best to abide by these wise words. For sometimes books that hold a great wealth of power, knowledge and surpise can come in the most plainest of cases. Kyrith herself once did as well. Yet the very thing that cast her from her hatch nest, would end up being the very reason she'd become who she was today. |
Further History
Kyrith did not have an easy life since the day she hatched. Of her four other siblings, she was born practically colorless - all grey, no markings, completely dulled. Most a dragon wouldn't think this would be a problem for a Mirror, begin a race that only came across as glutonous and savage. This assumption is however far from the truth; as Mirror dragons are as vain about their appearence as they are about their food. For the first week of her life, Kyrith was treated by her brothers and sister as not a sibling, but as their personal training dummy. They fought her, bit her, clawed her. She could only hold them off for so long, but ultimatly would collapse from the fights rather quickly. This would then end their sessions, and the other would scamper off for dinner. Kyrith would follow long after, once she'd recover. All she ever got for her meals was the leftover scraps. The moment Kyrith became of age, a mere week and a half after coming into the world, she'd felt her mother's tail circle her waist; and plucked her from the nest. In one moment she'd gone from napping quietly to being uplift into the air and suddenly hurled over the small cliff they livd upon, downward into the forest below. While her small wings had been enough to glide her to a less than graceful landing; she'd understood that right then... her mother hadn't cared if she'd lived or died. That her mother meant to toss her to her death, or at the very least, leave her broken enough to be picked off by the creature who lived down in the darkness. That was the moment she understood. That was the moment the small Mirror realized she wasn't wanted. Wasn't worth anything. That was also the moment she raked her claws in the grimmy earth, clenchted her teeth, haunched her shoulders and roared out the mightiest cry she could bellow. It spoke of her newfound hate, her newfound distrust, and her vow to grow strong... and to one day return with the same intent her mother had for her. Years passed on, and during these harsh and hard years, the little Mirror grew stronger. She'd become a fearsome warrior in her own right. Kyrith never stayed in any one spot for too long; was always on the hunt; always on guard. She hardly ever went near any other dragons and instead took to staying in forests and mires, and homes belonging to the other creatures. Creatures she'd come to respect by the way they hunted, and protected. Yet eventually, like all things, change is inevitable. During a particular hunt in which she would have been rewarded with a sack of treassure for the pelts of some Squall Rasa, she's been ambushed by some other dragons; who used their familiars to attck her. She's been able to flee the forest, eluding them at first; yet one of the creatures blindsighted her; scaring her left uper eye in the process. Though really, what was one more scar on her already marred body? She hit sent her down, where she fell upon a small perch on the mountainside; overlooking the forest she'd just fled. She was hurt, and tired, and so hungry. She knew she had to get up; had to get out of there! Yet.. yet for some.. bizzare reason, she felt... oddly safe. She did not know why, nor could she fathom what fate had in store for her now. All she knew before she passed out upon the perch, was that she wasn't alone...and that safety came in shades of blue and white. |
