Korvynkess

Further History

Korvynkess began his life as the last among his clutch mates to hatch. While this wasn't anything too demeaning or terrible; it did earn him the title of runt. Though he had also been the smallest of his siblings.

As time went by, and the young dragon grew, Korvynkess had started noticing a pattern. It didn't matter what he was involved with... he always wound up as the one finding it last, coming in last, the last to know, ect...

So it was no surprise when Korvynkess was the last of the family to leave his home for 'The Search'... the Guardian's instinctual journey once it becomes of age. His family worried that he would never find his charge, and figured the young dragon would ultimately end his life without ever becoming a true dragon.

Korvynkess thought otherwise. He knew in his heart that out there in the great unknown he'd find the most amazing, awe inspiring charge that any Guardian would be envious of him for being the one to find... 'it.' Finding 'it' however... took many, many years. It was one cold, bleak night, that young dragon had found a perch to spend his night along the Crystalspine Reaches. He was tired, he was burnt out... and just about gave up hope of finding the thing he was distended for.

Then it happened. The forest he'd been watching; it's dead bare branches reflecting how empty he felt inside... sudden burst into blue flames! His eyes widened, and he watched the formerly 'dead' forest burst into life... and in that moment, he felt his soul stir. This was it. This was the thing he was meant to find. He'd found his charge!

Korvynkess' charge was the Starwood Strand, and from here on out, he vowed to protect it till the very day he gave his last breath.
