Poppy only ever intended to make a small nest, find a mate, and settle down with lots of fae babies. She didn’t expect to suddenly find herself in charge of such a large group of dragons- but one day she realized she and Blitz had the space, money, and abilities to look over a group of dragons, so she started to take in as many as she could in. More and more dragons were brought in, and one day Poppy realized she was leading a clan. At one point she decided that if she was gonna lead a clan, she might as well do it properly. With Blitz’s help (meaning mostly Blitz) she crafted up some rules, and had some buildings officially constructed. She’s quite proud of how well developed they became.

Poppy is a bit of an unwavering optimist, always believing that the best outcome to a situation will occur, no matter what. She is extremely emotional, and tends to get teary over the smallest things. Although she is the leader of the clan, most of the 'leading' is done by her advisers, and her mate is the one most turn to for problems. Poppy has no problem with this, as she never really wanted to be a leader. While she doesn't do much of the actual leading, she has the ability to motivate others with her sheer unending optimism, and there is no doubt most members of the clan would go out of their way to protect her. Often times she can be found in her (relatively small) room, tinkering with her projects- small mechanical toys have been an interest to her since she was a child, so it's no wonder she kept up the practice later on. If she's not in her room, check Veta's workshop- the two have been known to collaborate on projects. She has a sweet spot for birds, and many of her toys are modeled after them in some way.
