Biography

Zorrogos emerged from a layer of leaf litter among of the Starwood Strand, tragically lost from his nest during a storm caused by a surge of magic that repercussed across the Starfall Isles. He survived and resided among the phosphorescent flora until he'd grown too large to navigate the dense forest any longer. At this point he instinctively knew it was his time to embark on The Search for his true home.

For decades he wandered Sornieth—climbing, diving, and traversing all reaches of the land. Finally he arrived in the territory of the Light flight, the Sunbeam Ruins. He was intrigued by the land, the history, and the customs and mannerisms of the resident dragons. Then, he came upon the Beacon of the Radiant Eye, and as he gazed upward at its awesome structure, a feeling of epiphanic peace and contentment swept over him, and he knew his Search was over. He took the Beacon as his charge.

Zorrogos stood a magnificent, statuesque figure atop the cliff's edge overlooking the vast sea. He would protect the Beacon for as long as he'd live. Over a century passed, and on one day the sky lit with a brilliant radiance—one rarely seen, but the meaning of which is known to all dragons of the Sunbeam Ruins—and the Lightweaver descended from the pinnacle of the Beacon to present Herself to the guardian.

She graciously thanked him for his resolute service to Her, Her land, and Her children. The Lightweaver blessed Zorrogos by adorning his scales with ornate markings of the most pure and lustrous gold, then returned skyward to Her dwelling. Zorrogos continues to dutifully watch over the Beacon. His grand gilded form standing tall atop the cliff, gleaming in the sun's light, has become a recognizable sight to dragons among the Light flight.

In his free time, Zorrogos enjoys endulging in studious activities that most Light dragons would enjoy. He examines ancient relics, reads historical writings, and strolls regularly among the ruins, appreciating the stories they tell in their crumbling walls. He strives to learn everything he can about the history of Sornieth and of dragon-kind.

While he does not have many social relationships and is not one for small-talk, he frequently receives locals and visitors alike who come to see the great point of interest where he resides, and he will hold conversations with them and educate them about the Beacon.

While he is unquestionably loyal to the Lightweaver and the Sunbeam Ruins, he still has a connection to his land of origin in the Starfall Isles. He has not been back since he left long ago, but he would like to return one day after he has become an old dragon, retired from his duty to the Lightweaver after fulfilling his purpose for as long as he ably could.
