For such a hulking dragon - the largest in the lair - Song is incredibly gentle. She doesn't seem to have a job, per say. Rumor has it that she was Combustiere's original royal guard, but was replaced for the more competent Tiel. But neither Guardian seems to be willing to tell the truth behind her origins, and so no one asks. It is common to see her carefully rooting through overturned logs and stones before the hunters and collectors come through, rehoming the more defenseless of the animals before they are harvested for the clan's food supply. She rarely flies for fear of disturbing the tiny creatures that call the shady mass beneath her wings home. Jan, her mate, spends most of his time somewhere on her person. Here he nestles in the collection of flowers and moss strewn across her frills and horns and listens to her soft rumbles of content and her whispered stories.
