Originally, Amarantha was a struggling scientist, in a company studying gem magic. She would go to the mines, gather gems, and carry them back to the lab before separating them by colour, type, and properties. She rarely was allowed to test and experiment with them. This lack of study, permitted by her peers, caused her to become bitter with her colleagues. To compensate, she started having her own experiments behind their back. From this, she discovered a way to repel the effects of shade magic for some time. With her work, she joined up with the rebellion to not only help the shade dragons, but to also get out of her home. Too bad she was a nobleman's daughter, as there's now a warrant on balthazar's head and a bounty for her safe return. Although she was first called the nurse, her cunning strategies and clever ideas, lead to her ascension as the queen.
